What does the NESA® Non-Invasive Neuromodulation online introductory basic training include?

Our basic introductory online training offers a comprehensive learning index on NESA® Non-Invasive Neuromodulation, designed to provide you with a solid theoretical and practical foundation in the field. Although this training is delivered online, it retains the essence of our face-to-face sessions, allowing you to acquire the same level of knowledge from the comfort of your home or office.

Is there a difference between online and face-to-face training?

The main difference between our online and face-to-face trainings lies in the direct interaction with the instructors during the face-to-face sessions, which enriches the learning experience. In addition, in the face-to-face trainings, supplementary printed material is provided to reinforce the content learned. However, the educational core and learning objectives are consistent in both modalities.

After completing the classroom training, can I access the online version?

Of course you can! If you have already participated in our face-to-face trainings and would like to review the content or deepen certain topics at your own pace, you can request access to the online version of the training. To do so, simply contact your responsible account manager, who will guide you through the process.

NESA® technology is based on a combined symmetrical two-phase current (with single-phase components depending on the programme), low frequency, and limited intensity. At some points in the stimulus process, certain sequences of the different programmes utilise low-frequency single-phase current supplies.

Voltage

The neuromodulation parameters are preset in each programme, with the exception of the voltage, which can be set to 3V or 6V.

Frequency

The frequency of application is minimal, being considered a microcurrent. It ranges from 1.14 to 14.28 Hertz. The frequency varies according to the programmes, where it can be fixed or oscillate between scales.

Intensity

The amperage or current ranges from 0.1 to 0.9 mA. The voltage is set as explained above at 3 or 6 volts.

Therefore, the potential difference generated is very weak since the application is located in areas of low impedance. These characteristics mean that, although Ohm's law is applied, no potential differences develop such as to produce polar effects.

Thanks to the trial-and-error studies of the patent, physical characteristics and parameters were determined for each programme based on the application objectives (it is recommended to read the description of each programme carefully to understand its parameters).

Yes, the training is both theoretical and practical. All trainees will have the opportunity to use NESA® medical technology and assessment systems. This allows participants to experience first-hand the techniques and tools presented, ensuring a comprehensive and applicable understanding of non-invasive neuromodulation.

No, the training will not be recorded. We already have the training recorded and translated into English and other languages. Participants will receive access to these recorded materials within three to five working days of the face-to-face training, allowing them to review and clarify any questions over a three-week period.

CENTRAL TREATMENT WITH NESA® NEUROMODULATION

What does central treatment involve?

Central treatment is a method for neuromodulation of the autonomic nervous system, focusing on the brachial plexus and the cervical spinous processes C7 to C5. This approach is used to optimise the central nervous system, improving sleep quality, relieving chronic pain, reducing stress and anxiety, and increasing slow brain waves associated with the parasympathetic autonomic nervous system.

Clinical applications of central treatment

Applications include its use as an adjunct to other therapies for global modulation of the nervous system and as a stand-alone therapy for specific conditions such as stress or sleep problems. Depending on the chronicity of the dysfunction, a minimum of 10 sessions is recommended, and the treatment can be extended as needed.

Reason for electrode placement at C7

The placement of the electrode at C6-C7 is strategic, allowing a global effect without directly affecting any specific structure. This position is key to intensifying treatment and focusing on target areas, facilitating effective and comprehensive neuromodulation.
